I've always been a fan of Fish eye lenses but I resent the fact that they seem to cost a huge amount brand new and second hand. The next best thing? Buy an adapter. Last week I decided this was the best way for me to give it a go without renting (giving me a time frame to make a decision) or stumping up the cash for a lens which I may never use. So up stepped this bad boy - Opteka Fish Eye.
It arrived this morning and I unwrapped it to start having a play. Originally trying to fit it to my nifty fifty showed problems as the adapter rings didn't fit. No major worry as I had my kit lens 18-55 in the car which the adapter ring fitted. After a few minutes laughing at how crazy this lens is I sprang on my colleague and took a quick pic.
I fricking LOVE this thing! Anyway do I think it's worth me buying a proper fish eye lens? Maybe not at this stage... but only time will tell....
